As a holistic form of healing, Yoga views the human system as not just the physical body. The whole body is comprised of several dimensions, including the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. These dimensions of the human system are interconnected and therefore, interdependent. Yoga teaches that just because an illness manifests at the physical level does not necessarily mean that its cause is also in the physical level. The cause of the physical problem may, in fact, be rooted in problems related to another dimension of the system. By the same token, any practice has the potential to impact every dimension of the student’s system.
Yoga is a healing discipline that offers a broad range of tools for supporting health, healing, and personal transformation. It is a gradual process of letting go and learning to love yourself just as you are! Yoga uses postures, breathing techniques, meditation, gestures, sounds, guided self inquiry, and much more. Therapists and students alike can use these tools in an infinite number of ways to suit the unique needs of the individual throughout the ever-changing states of their lives.
My role as a teacher is to understand your needs and help you peel back the layers to reveal your inner wisdom.
